How to Find the Right iPhone Games Developer

How to Find the Right iPhone Games Developer

Your new iPhone game will only be as good as the developer you choose. A professionally developed iPhone game will become a valuable additional revenue stream for your business and can also raise the profile of your company worldwide.

iPhone games are a great way to engage your target market and interact with them through fun technology.
When you’re looking for an experienced and professional iPhone games developer, there are a number of important issues you need to consider, including;

1. Choosing a reputable company

iPhone games and apps are a relatively new phenomenon but don’t let that stop you choosing a reputable and experienced development company.

It’s advisable to work with an iPhone developer that has considerable software development experience rather than a company or individual that is new to the market. Unfortunately there are some unscrupulous iPhone development companies that have been set up with limited experience to try and cash in on the iPhone’s incredible worldwide popularity.

If you’re in any doubt about a company’s experience, you can look them up on the Companies House website if they’re a limited company. This will let you see how long they’ve been trading for and if they’ve had any other previous trading names.

2. Portfolios

Any reputable iPhone development company will be happy to show you examples of previous iPhone games or apps they’ve worked on.

If the company doesn’t have links on their website to iPhone games or apps they’ve developed, make sure you ask to see finished examples so you can assess the quality for yourself.

The great thing about looking for an iPhone games developer is the fact you can try out their games and interact with them to judge how good they are.

3. Understanding the development process

Before you give the go-ahead for any iPhone game or application development project, make sure you have the development process detailed in writing.

If you’re going down the route of outsourced iPhone development work it’s critical to have a plan both parties are happy with before any work commences. For example, many companies will operate an agile software development process which allows you to feedback on the progress of your project at different stages rather than waiting until it’s finished.

4. Timescales & testing

Part of the development process should be the agreement of both parties to a project timescale for the completion of your iPhone game or application.

If you prefer the agile software development approach then you should have timescales in place for each milestone as the project progresses, including the final completion date.

You should also ensure that enough time is allocated for testing of your new iPhone application or game. There may be a few technical issues to be smoothed out once you’ve tested the game or app for yourself.

5. Pricing & expertise

When it comes to getting quotes for the development of your iPhone games, you may find it’s much cheaper to use an offshore iphone software development company.

It’s a good idea to get a number of quotes for your iPhone development project from companies in the UK and offshore. Bear in mind that the cheapest quote may not always result in the best iPhone game or app so it’s wise to take all the factors above into consideration as well as price.

Outsourced iPhone development can deliver time and cost savings for your business and ensure your idea for a new iPhone app or game gets to market quickly and starts generating a return on your investment.

Atos Origin Buys Venture Infotek

photo

Atos Origin, a French IT services provider has completed the acquisition of Venture Infotek, which is Mumbai-based payment processing firm. Sources from the industry have said that it was an all-cash deal.

With this acquisition Atos Origin will enter the Indian payments market and capitalize on the Indian market for electronic payments. This move will bolster the already 4000 strong work personnel the IT services provider has with an addition of another 500 employees.

In case of Venture Infotek, its client list includes some of the top ten Indian banks. Some home grown users such as ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Central Bank of India. HSBC, Citi, Mastercard and American Express are listed among international conglomerates using Venture Infotek’s card and e-payment products and services in India. It offers card processing, merchant acquisition, loyalty programs, and government benefits programs on behalf of Indian banks and major retailers.

The acquisition will give Atos Origin a strong presence in the Indian payments processing market, which is set to grow as the Indian government is encouraging non-cash payments in the country, said Milind Kamat , CEO of Atos Origin India, on Friday. With the government’s decision on introducing unique IDs for Indian citizens, this will definitely give an added impetus to the market, he added.

The company would be incorporated into Atos Worldline which Atos Origin’s unit in hi-tech transactional services and electronic payments. With its entire focus on the Indian market, this is Atos Origin’s first acquisition and it is all set to go further.
