
Ness technologies Inc., a global provider of IT solutions and services, announced that its outsourcing contract with Israel’s Ministry of Environmental Protection has been extended by three more years. The deal is worth approximately $2.6 millions or 10 million Israeli shekels.
The ministry’s IT systems will be operated and maintained 24/7 by Ness Technologies which will include development of applications and infrastructure systems. According to a service level agreement it will take on all responsibilities for the Ministry’s IT systems.
Israel’s largest help desk centre serving outsourcing customers, Ness Technologies’ Unified Reference and Delivery (URD) Center, will now serve The Ministry’s help desk for roughly 600 users.
Oren Ariav, Chief Information Officer of the Ministry of Environmental Protection expressed his satisfaction in having found a true partner in Ness and is happy with their achievements. He is determined that with Ness’s help the Ministry’s employees and public will get good IT services. He also said “In addition to ongoing maintenance and operation, Ness will help us to develop new applications and upgrade our IT systems.”
Ness has its operations in North America, Europe, Israel and India and comprises of a customer base in more than 20 countries. With more than 7,800 employees it has partnerships with many software and hardware firms worldwide.
Effi Kotek, President of Ness Israel said “The Ministry’s decision to extend the outsourcing contract with us further positions Ness as a leading supplier of IT services to Israel’s government. In 2010 we have also won outsourcing contracts with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Ministry of the Interior.” He is pleased that the Ministry of Environmental Protection has extended the engagement, and all geared up to provide high quality services that will enable the Ministry to meet its challenges in the coming years.
